Kate Misurka founded our program in 2009 after being approached by the men in her life who wanted to “try out this yoga thing” but “twisting into a pretzel and wearing yoga tights was just not gonna happen”. She realized that there was a whole group of people out there who where missing out. From this ‘a-ha’ moment the first of the Yoga4Stiff programs, YOGA4STIFF GUYS™ was born.
Not long after she created the more general YOGA4STIFF™ class, suited to every-body type. And YOGA4STIFF PEOPLE™ came to be

Our purpose is to focus on YOU – by offering a unique yoga experience designed to deepen your practice and understanding at any level. All of our programs offer clear concise instruction, demonstrations, adjustments and workshop style teachings.
*To be clear, the Yoga4Stiff Guys™ programs listed below are not men’s only yoga classes. The titles are simply descriptive of what is offered. However, the Yoga4Stiff Guys™ classes are specifically designed and focus on the needs of the male body type in practice, with an emphasis on poses to open the hips, quadriceps, hamstrings and lower back.
YOGA4STIFF GUYS™ – THE BASICS.
Brand new to yoga or looking for a refresher of the yoga basics? This Yoga4Stiff™ introductory series is designed just for you. Poses are demonstrated, broken down and instructed in easy sequential steps to set the foundation of your practice from the ground up.
YOGA4STIFF GUYS™ – THE BASICS PLUS
This class is designed for students who want to build and expand on the foundation of The Basics series. You can expect this class to focus on foundation, alignment and the sequential building of poses from the basic to complex in order to grow and evolve your practice.
YOGA4STIFF GUYS™ – ALL LEVELS
This class is specifically designed for, and focuses on the needs of the male body type in practice. Emphasis is on poses to open the hips, quadriceps, hamstrings and lower back. Improve flexibility, increase strength, to connect mind & body. This class will challenge the beginner and advanced student alike.
YOGA4STIFF MINDS™ – RELAX, BREATHE & DE-STRESS
We all take in AIR, but do you BREATHE? Learn simple modern and traditional breathing techniques to maximize the benefits of the 23,000 times we take in air a day. Join us to DE-STRESS your mind and body with scientifically studied techniques to: Reduce stress; De-clutter your mind; Modify poor breath patterns; Sleep better; Reduce back-pain; Improve digestion; Energize and balance the body; and Connect with your-Self.
YOGA4STIFF PEOPLE™
This yoga class makes yoga accessible for every-body! It is designed for students who want to improve flexibility, increase strength, and connect the mind and body. Our personalized workshop style approach will provide those ‘ah’ ha moments to inspire your practice to a new level. Beginners welcome.
YOGA4YOU™
This is your time. A practice designed with your personal intention and goals in mind. Yoga4You™ means one-on-one instruction and the undivided attention of your teacher. Go deeper in your practice than you would experience in a public class. Experience the difference of private yoga with Yoga4You!
